This role offers flexibility after the probation period to go Hybrid. CPD is also supported.

Our client is a well-established accountancy practice based in Cambridgeshire, who provide general accounting and consulting services across a variety of business sectors, with a range of accounting, financial performance, and taxation services.

Due to exciting growth, they are now seeking an experienced and dependable qualified professional Accountant to support their expanding team and client base. The ideal Accountant will be looking to further their career with greater responsibility, portfolio management, training, and development with future aspirations of practice partnership/ownership. The role

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an accountancy practice with practical experience in the preparation of financial statements, corporate and personal tax compliance, and management accounts.

Reporting into the Main Partners of the business your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients from a wide range of sectors, acting as point of contact
• Preparation of financial statements under UK GAAP
• Preparation of corporation tax returns and supporting computations
• Preparation of personal tax returns and supporting computations
• Monthly management accounts preparation
• Bookkeeping on cloud-based software and providing training to clients
• Supervision and support of junior accounting staff
• VAT return preparation and filing
• Maintain working relationships with clients

About You

Desirable Skills / Knowledge

• Qualified, qualified by experience or training towards an accountancy qualification such as ACA, ACCA with experience within an accountancy practice
• Good understanding of corporation and personal taxation
• Competent user of accounting software
• Excellent Communication skills
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• This role calls for a confident and logical individual, comfortable working to deadlines and producing work to a high standard
